As I’m sure you have found out, babies just love to be sung to and with. After learning the basic first sign language signs such as food, milk, etc. you will want to move on to some fun signs too.

Sing & Sign

Try learning some signs for animals. Although that may not seems like fun signs to you, your little one will sure enjoy it. It doesn’t have to be a huge slew of animal signs just a few farm animals will do such as cow, pig or duck. I know you know “Old MacDonald Had a Farm”. To a sign a song you don’t need to sign all the words, just some of the keywords, in this case, sign just the animal signs as you sing.

You can start out with just 2 or 3 animal signs depending on the attention span of your baby, then add more animal signs and make the song longer as your baby’s attention span grows. He may even start signing right along with you. Come on, I dare you to try this and not have fun doing it.

Need some other song ideas? You might want to give these a try: One Potato, Two Potato, The Itsy Bitsy Spider, Six Little Ducks. I’m sure you can come up with several more.

Make Story Time Come Alive!

Story time is a most loved time and wonderful bonding time too. I enjoy it with my kids. Want to really hold their attention though, give this a try, animate the story. Animating a story will hold your child’s attention better than just reading out of a book most times. What a great opportunity this is to continue or teach your baby sign language. Try short little stories or nursery rhymes to start out with. Personally I try to see what stories my kids enjoy me reading to them then we incorporate the signs into the stories. We read and sign for such stories as The Three Little Pigs, The ABC song (which not only helps them learn the alphabet signs but also helps them learn their alphabet by hearing the song and each letter). Nursery Rhymes are great fun too. Pick out a few and give it a try. I’m sure both you and baby will enjoy story time a lot more with a little action going on. Have fun signing!
Read more about this and other topics related to gaming wordpress theme

Look at almost any television show or magazine; unfortunately, the breasts are everywhere, selling everything from cars to cleansers. A huge industry in this country banks on woman’s breasts being seen in a sexual light, rather than as a part of woman’s reproductive and child nurturing equipment. Since media plays major role in showing that breasts only have a sexual side and hence lowers the importance of it being nurturing equipment.

The question that bothers many women today is whether “Breast feeding makes breasts unattractive”? Many women worry, for example, that breast feeding will cause their breasts to become droopy or ugly. But changes in breast shape are more related to pregnancy itself than to breast feeding. Breasts grow during pregnancy, as milk producing tissues develop. This stretches the fiber support tissue of the breast. Whether or not, these tissues spring back once the breasts shrink again is mostly a matter of luck – some woman’s breasts are springier than others. Women with highly elastic breasts can breastfeed and a few months later, look the same as they did before getting pregnant. Other mothers who do not breast feed can have long lasting changes in breast shape from their pregnancies.

Does breastfeeding make women unattractive to their husbands or partners? This varies from person to person. Some men are put off by nursing breasts, but many find them interesting and attractive. The fact that their spouse is feeding their baby from her own body fills some men with awe, other with lust. Some nursing mothers feel that their breasts are less sensitive to erotic stimulation. Others find that having longer breasts makes them feel more sensual.

Is breastfeeding sexually arousing? Nursing mothers often report that breastfeeding feels good, but the feeling is not really sexual. It’s clear to them that their breasts have developed a specialized function as a source of nutrition for their babies.

Will breastfeeding make your partner feel excluded or jealous? This does happen sometimes, but it doesn’t have to. Fathers can help make their partners comfortable for nursing, and they can take over many other parenting tasks, such as changing, holding, singing to and playing with the baby. Many nursing mothers pump their breast milk regularly, especially if they are working outside of the home, and faters can certainly feed this to their babies using a bottle, spoon or cup.
About the Author: Read more about this and other topics related to power link generator review

I was browsing on Myspace the other night and this one girl from high school ( i haven’t talked to her in years as I switched schools a lot ) who just had a baby on she was bragging on her blog about how it hasn’t even been a week since she had a baby and ppl couldn’t believe it and she’s so full of herself and she never talks bout her baby much it’s all about her and her great hubby and how her she’s an attention whore and can’t believe how her son draws so much attention in public and if he weren’t there they’d be staring at how cute mommy and daddy are. How conceited? I have a great husband too, but my life is centered all on my baby now, he’s all I wanna talk about. I don’t get jealous of other ppl’s babies because no one’s even comes close to compare or is ever nearly as cute! But, I was really upset last night how she was boasting how great she looks and I actually balled for an hour last night thinking so low of myself, but today I have a new attitude. I am beautiful, only 10 pounds away from my prepregnancy weight (although it seems like more as it’s all in my midsection)

So, have you ever gotten jealous seeing someone who just had a baby and they look better than you?
Or if you know someone who had a baby, do you gotta see the baby to see how much cuter yours is than theirs?
I know I am pretty shallow myself.
About the Author: Read more about this and other topics related to cookie favors

Smoking is one of the hardest habits to break. Whilst it is in your baby’s best interests to stop smoking, this isn’t always possible for some mothers. It is especially hard to give up an addiction at a time of stress or major disruption, which having a baby undoubtedly is. Should you find yourself unable to stop smoking but still wish to breastfeed here are some points to consider.

Do your best to cut back. Any reduction in your in-take of nicotine is of benefit to your baby; if you smoke, certain levels of your nicotine are passed onto your baby through smoke inhalational and breast milk. You should also be aware that studies show that smoking reduces milk supply, so any reduction in smoking will help your milk supply. To help keep levels high enough to satisfy your baby’s needs, feed on demand as frequent feeds helps to encourage milk production.

Always smoke AFTER you’ve breastfeed your baby. It goes without saying that you should smoke in another room from your baby. Never smoke in enclosed location with your baby. Smoking outside helps keep your baby from inhaling second-hand smoke – a risk factor for SIDS and life-long respiratory problems. Also, smoking after breastfeeding your baby will help to reduce the amount of nicotine in your blood supply and, therefore, breast milk.

Consider using nicotine patches as these can reduce your blood and milk levels of nicotine. Your baby also gets the benefit of not having to inhale smoke. Do not use both cigarettes and nicotine patches as you will be adding further chemicals into your baby’s milk supply than from smoking alone. Nicotine gum is also beneficial. Like smoking, nicotine levels go up and down, so ensure that you use the gum AFTER you’ve breastfed your baby.

There are other things you should be aware of when you breastfeed. Others – and your baby – may be able to smell nicotine in your expressed milk. You baby is certainly able to taste it and may, therefore, take to breastfeeding less easily than babies whose mothers don’t smoke. You baby’s blood stream will contain nicotine passed on through your breast milk. His urine will also contain traces of nicotine.

So, should you breastfeed at all if you smoke? The answer is yes. Breast milk, unlike formula milk, contains your antibodies and your nutrients that will help your baby fight off infection and help its immune system: something formula milk does not have and is not able to do.
