Internet Jobs For Average Moms
Feb 2nd, 2011 by admin

There are loads and loads of “systems” offered by “internet gurus” promising to make you thousands from your online business. Unfortunately, most of them don’t work for the average mom. Sure, these systems might work for 5% for the people that use them, but what about for the every day working mom? Do legit internet jobs for moms even exist?

There are some very sketchy online jobs out there, but the one that I find that produces the best results and is generally the most common among the “WAHM” community is article writing. Article writing is a simple form of advertising, where you blog about products that you use and profit from it. It’s quite simple on the surface, all you do is become an affiliate for a product you want to sell. So if you want to sell say your favorite diaper brand, simply write a few articles on the web using a free blogging service (there are hundreds.) Go to the website of the diaper brand and get your affiliate link. Leave this affiliate link in the article and at the end of the article. If someone clicks the link and decides to make a purchase, you are handsomely rewarded. You receive a commission off every single sale!

These articles remain on the internet for years and years, an continue to produce you money. A well written article generally produces between 15$ – 30$ every month. So just a couple articles a day for a few weeks and it adds thousands to your monthly income!

There is a bit more to it than described in this article, but this is the gist of it. Hundreds of thousands of mothers like your self are using article writing to increase there monthly income. If you haven’t already began taking advantage of this, you’re missing out. Work at home moms generally have way more success with this internet job for moms than any other work at home job.

Jobs for Stay at Home Moms
Jan 22nd, 2011 by admin

As a stay at home mom it would be good to be able to generate some extra income after the kids had gone to school and the chores finished. Everyday thousands of moms trawl the internet looking for that work that they can do from home to help make some extra income for the family.
Some people might suggest selling on eBay as a good business for stay at home moms, but this is not always the case as finding what to sell on eBay can be tasking for a mom who has toddlers to look after. Even though you can use drop shipping as a way of procuring what to sell on eBay and minimise the need for you to move around looking for what to sell. But because I have had very terrible experience with drop shipping companies I will rather move on to other ways to make extra money from home that are safer such as:

o Blogging: Blogging is a way for every mum to use whatever it is they are passionate about to make extra money. Take for instance if you love knitting and you decide to start a blog on knitting where you share tips on knitting. When your readership begins to grow then you can either create your own product which you feel will appeal to your blog readers and make it available to them for a fee (preferably e-books that can be downloaded instantly). Another way to monetize your blog is by selling other peoples product as an affiliate (if you decide to go down this road you might want to check out Clickbank site).

o Paid Surveys & Discussion Groups: This has been around for quite some time and still growing. Some of the sites pay you cash for each survey you complete as long as you meet the payment threshold, while others pay you in the form of gift vouchers redeemable online as well as your local shops. Paid surveys and discussion groups are quite suitable for a stay at home mom as their payment threshold is not on the large side.

o Freelancing: There are so many jobs you can do at home as a free lancer, some of such jobs are programming, article writing, web design, and so many more. There are people online who would pay for services like the ones listed earlier, all you need to do is to do a Google search on whatever it is you wish to freelance on and see if the demand is there or not.

However, as a word of caution you must be aware that whatever you decide to do will require that you give it some time to work it and be successful at it. Many give up because they were not patient enough to finish what they started.

Good luck and choose wisely.
Need a Work at Home Mom’s Business Idea?
Jan 21st, 2011 by admin

Need a good work at home mom’s business idea? Look to the internet.

We all know that the world is a more dangerous place. If you are a working mom, then everyday you leave your child with some kind of caretaker and pray that everything goes as planned. You pray that your child is kept safe, that the baby sitter doesn’t mistreat them etc, etc. Many moms wish they could stay home, but how do they produce an income if they do this? Today staying home and producing an income is not that difficult. All you have to do is come up with a work at home mom’s business idea.

The main reason a parent doesn’t quit their job and stay home is because they are not creative enough to think of a way to produce money from home. There are many different kinds of home businesses you can start, whether related to the internet or not.

Business Ideas

Choose a business that relates to something you enjoy doing. Don’t invest our time into something that you don’t believe in or that you don’t enjoy. So if you are say a fitness buff then you will want to start a home business in something that relates to cosmetics and fitness.

You can start an internet business, a blog and make it produce money through affiliate marketing, advertising, etc.

You could also become a fitness instructor, a professional private trainer. You might devote your business to natural medicine, losing weight, etc.

If beauty is your thing, you can offer facials, home beauty treatments, pedicures, etc. All you have to do is offer your services as an in home service where you go to clients home, or they come to yours.

Information Technology

If you can write then there are all sorts of things you can do online to make money. You can offer ghostwriting services either for books, or even internet copy (small articles).

You can also offer your services in the editing, proofreading, filing and organizing area. Look under the freelance sections. There are many people looking for someone to write a press release, or a technical piece, or even general information.

Translations

If you speak more than one language well you can start a translation service form home. You can translate documents, websites, news articles and even company information.

Catering Business

If you are a people lover and a food lover then you would do well in the catering business. Start with small parties and work your way up. You can offer to cater a friend’s party or a family get together. You may offer your services to the local businesses and offices.

Selling

Buying and selling is a very profitable business. You can start selling from home, create your online store and sell using auction houses like Amazon and eBay.

There are many different work at home for moms ideas that you can pick up on and if you really want to stay at home with your children, then all it takes is a little thinking, a little creativity and a jump in. It really is fun to stay at home, and running your own business can be challenging.
Work at Home Job Ideas for Moms
Dec 19th, 2010 by admin

There are several jobs that moms can do from home. You can get a telecommuting job, you can start your own home business, or you can do a few other things to make some extra money to support your family from home. It all depends on whether you want a real telecommuting job or you want your job to be a home-based business that you create. Below are some work at home job ideas for moms that I have put together.

One of the quickest and easiest businesses you can start from home is to build a content website or blog and make money from affiliate marketing and advertising. This is usually the quickest and cheapest ways to get started working from home yet this type of business sometimes takes the longest to make money. When starting a content website or blog you will need to sign up for a google adsense account, chitika account, and clickbank account. There are a few others you can get to that I recommend and those are Affiliate Fuel, Websponsors and OffersQuest.

You can also start a home business by offering a service or selling products such as a baby clothing consignment shop, web or graphics designer, copywriter, script installation, virtual assistant or other much needed service. If you don’t have a service to offer, don’t have start up money or don’t want to stock your own products you can sign up with a direct sales business and sell their products. You will make commission from selling products that you don’t have to keep in stock. There are direct sales companies that sell products ranging from candles to cakes.

You can also telecommute from home. There are several sites that list real work at home jobs that you can apply for. These jobs are highly competitive and usually require some specialized skill. This may be the type of work you are looking for. You can go to craigslist.org and search by city for telecommuting jobs. You can also search for telecommuting jobs on several work at home websites.

Many moms need a way to make some extra money quickly. To make some quick money you can sell stuff on Ebay, do surveys for cash or even write articles. You can do these things before your home job or home business starts to flourish. Happy home job hunting and good luck on your journey to home job success!

Work-At-Home Moms – Managing Your Time
Dec 1st, 2010 by admin

I think that anyone who is a work-at-home mother must run into this issue – how do you manage your work time while at home and also taking care of your children?

Do you schedule a strict regimen and then stick to it no matter what? Hmmm. Well, if you’re a mother you might have tried this and found out that’s it’s not quite possible while also handling the various interesting adventures that come up with children. OK, I’ll just go ahead and say it – uh uh, it’s not going to happen. :)

You know, I don’t know that there is an exact answer to this. Sometimes I spend all of the day with my little one, especially when it feels like he needs the attention. There are other days when he’s completely enraptured with his own thing, playing with his toys, etc. then work in more time.

OK, I thought of some good advice – don’t expect to have a very strongly structured day (e.g., 10:00 – make phone calls, 11:00 prepare next campaign, etc.). Make a “to-do” list of things to get done in the next day or two, then do them when it’s easily done. (My best times are naptime, after bedtime, when he’s playing with his toys.)

My child is my priority. I’ve also got to get food on the table, and am fully responsible for that as a single mom. But I’ve found out that I can work from home (strictly), be a successful businesswoman and a successful mother with a healthy, happy child. I’m doing it.

PS: Mom’s – I also find that if I take my child to the park, go outside for a walk for an hour or two, the whole day seems to go much better for me and my little one.

PS – 2: Don’t forget to give yourself a pat on the back now and then. :)

10 Great Careers For Stay-at-Home Moms
Nov 25th, 2010 by admin

Men, unlike women, do not have to go through the dilemma of whether to stay at home with the kids or just continue with their careers. Every mother, on the other hand, would have to deal with this issue at one point in her life. Well, distressed mom, worry no more because you don’t have to choose from your career or being an ever-present mother to your kids anymore.

Here are ten great careers that many moms could choose to undertake:

1. Freelance Writing. You would be surprised at how many jobs you can have under this category. You can be an academic writer, an editor, a novelist, a copywriter, a blogger, a ghost writer–name it and the online world would be able to cough it up for you. What you would need to set up: your place of solitude and a computer (with a reliable Internet connection). Also, you’ve got to establish, from the very beginning, what type of writing you would like to engage into.

2. Transcription. Many transcription companies now allow their employees to do their jobs at home. There are many types of transcription jobs–legal, medical, general, etc. All you would need is great hearing, a foot pedal, computer and excellent typing skills.

3. Online tutorials. If you love teaching, then this is the perfect home-based job for you. First, you need to have a clientele (there are a lot of them online or you could get them through referrals). Also, there are companies who hire tutors and who allow them to do their tutorials at home. And since this is another online job, you would need a computer, a webcam, and a headset (you could replace this with a PC microphone and a pair of speakers).
4. Selling baked goodies, pasta, etc. If you are the type who loves to cook, then there is also a career that would be perfect for you. Why don’t you consider baking your favorite cookies or even cakes, and start selling them? First, sell them to people that you know (friends, relatives or neighbors) and once these people give you referrals, you could start selling to them, too. Don’t expect that it would be a grand business (unless you’re willing to go big time and put in a hefty capital, hire some employees, and all that). This is also applicable to businesses such as sewing, knitting, candle-making, jewelry, preserved food, etc.). Putting up a business at home could have its down side, too, but still, you do get to spend extra hours with your family.

5. Desktop Publishing. DTP is a combination of WYSIWYG software for page layout and a personal computer. This is used in creating documents for publication (page layouts with photos, graphics, text, and other visuals with the use of certain computer software such as Scribus, Apple Pages, Microsoft Publisher, Adobe, or QuarkXPress.

For stay-at-home moms with limited capitals, you can use an ordinary printer (yeah, that’s the small one) and start a business like this. If you want to go on a larger scale, you can hire a vendor to do all the printing jobs.

6. Virtual Assistant Jobs. A VA is a freelance contractor who provides technical, administrative, even creative assistance to her clients. The regular clients include realtors or lawyers. These assistants work at home in their virtual offices. For a VA, the needed tools include: a computer with a dependable Internet connection, fax machine, and a phone.

7. Typing jobs. Unlike transcription jobs where you would need to specialize in medical or legal terms, doing an online data entry job is as easy as 1-2-3. All you would need are excellent typing skills and you’re good to go (as you would only need to fill out online survey forms). Most of the companies that offer data entry positions ask for an initial payment of some sort, though. Just be careful in choosing which ones are for real.

8. Internet Marketing. This is also referred to as Internet advertising, e-Marketing, or online marketing. This simply means you sell your products or services online. It is not enough that you have your own computer, you must also possess impeccable marketing skills to be able to survive on this type of career.

9. Affiliate Marketing. Somehow, this is related to Internet marketing except that this one involves some networking as the business gives rewards to affiliates for every visitor or client that they gain.

10. Babysitting. You could have a few, extra money when you opt to take care of your children along with other kids (with parents who are willing to pay up!). And if you love kids, this is just like a walk in the park.

These are just ten out of the hundreds of possible careers that homemakers could opt for. If you want to find out about other choices, they’re just a click of a mouse away!

Free Jewelry is a Real Thing – Jewelry Home Show Hostess Success Tips
Sep 27th, 2010 by admin

The jewelry sales representative will make it sound easy to do, and hosting a jewelry home show can be simple, but if you want to maximize sales, and therefore, the amount of free jewelry you can earn from the show, then you will find the following checklist helpful.

SELECTING A DATE AND TIME

The date and time of your jewelry party can help increase sales. A month or even two months before graduation, Christmas, or any gift-giving holiday can catch your guests already in the mood to shop. Booking a show well-timed for winter holidays can be tricky, however. I attended a jewelry show in early October, and all available booking times for holiday delivery were already taken, so plan early if you want the extra boost of Christmas and Holiday jewelry sales. If you are lucky enough to be at a poolside party in July, don’t delay, book your November or December show then!

The day of week and time are to be considered also. During football season, a Sunday afternoon party may be very good timing, with many women wanting to escape their armchair athlete men-folk for a couple of hours. Super Bowl Sunday might be an exception to this example. Saturday is often “errand day” for working women, so late in the afternoon, around cocktail hour could be auspicious timing. A 3:00 or 4:00 p.m. party can be the last stop before going home to prepare for the evening. Saturday evening can also be an enjoyable time to host a party, depending upon the mix of guests you plan to invite. If your invitees are available during the weekday, morning jewelry home shows can be a welcome break from routine.

Generally the duration of a party is two hours. Your friends may want to stay until late hours; however, the sales associate will want to pack up and go home after a couple of hours, and generally speaking, two hours is plenty of time for everyone to browse, try on the jewelry samples, and place their orders.

DEFINE YOUR ROLE AS HOSTESS

Once you have booked your home show jewelry party, take a few minutes for yourself and define your role. Some sales representatives will supply you with invitations, postcards, and a guideline on how you can prepare for your show. When invitations are supplied, the hostess is expected to address and mail her invitations. At a recent Silpada jewelry party, the sales representative stated that she only needed the guest list and addresses, and she would address and mail the invitations. This is less work and much more convenient for the hostess, and the representative can build her mailing list at the same time.
You will be encouraged to promote your upcoming party. Do what you are comfortable doing. Not everyone is P.T. Barnum.

BUILD AN INVITATION LIST

The invitation list needs careful thought, especially with something like jewelry, which for most people is a luxury, not a necessity. Even though there is no obligation to buy, once a guest arrives and starts to look, the expectation of an order will grow, and not all jewelry shows offer the token item, affordable to all.

If you know of someone who is looking for a source of income, and they seem suitable for sales, then they might want to attend to learn more about joining the company as a sales associate. This can benefit the hostess because many companies will reward the hostess with extra products or credits if someone signs on as a result of their show.

Draw names from many places in your social network, including co-workers, church friends, fellow teaches, book group associates, neighbors, family members, quilting circle friends, PTA or day care parents, and the like. A mix of people adds interest for everyone. Expect about 30 percent of your guest list to attend your party, so encourage your invitees to bring a friend. It is also a good idea to offer catalogs for outside orders. The sales associate should supply you with as many jewelry catalogs and order forms as you need.

PREPARING YOUR HOME FOR THE SHOW AND FOOD TIPS

Generally the RSVP date on a jewelry home show is 2-3 days before the event. This will give the hostess some time to clean house, shop, and prepare food and beverages. In planning what to serve, the following guidelines may be helpful. Keep the food easy to eat in one or two bites. Don’t serve food that requires a fork and plate. If both hands are busy, the guests cannot be trying on jewelry and actively
looking at the display. Let your guests pop a bitesize brownie, cookie or carrot stick with dip and keep shopping!

Don’t offer gooey foods, people will also be handling the jewelry, and you won’t want them to gum it up with buffalo sauce or sticky glazes.

Try a new recipe – if it’s a hit, then you will get to hear the praise and it will help with conversation. If the recipe is a flop, you will have leftovers to feed to the dog.

If it is appropriate for you to do so, offer wine, a spiked punch, or cocktails such as Mimosas, Cosmopolitans, or Peach Bellinis. Mulled cider with rum would be a welcome beverage on a winter’s evening. Offering these as well as coffee, tea and soft drinks will help your guests relax in what could be a stressful situation. It also adds a festival atmosphere. It is a good idea to limit availability of alcoholic beverages.

DISPLAY LOCATION

When you are deciding where to have the jewelry displayed in your home, consider that food, as usual, will draw your guests. If you have an open kitchen/family room area, having the food in proximity to the jewelry display is simple. If you living room is the most suitable for the jewelry presentation, then set out your food in that room, using end tables and your coffee table for food and drinks, and set up a folding table for the jewelry. You could work it the other way, and centralize the food, while spreading the jewelry around the room, but that could invite theft and presents a logistics challenge for the sales associate. The main thing is to keep the traffic flow moving to and from the food and jewelry to keep your guests on their feet and active, and less inclined to find a corner for a long catch-up chat.

LIGHTING

Adequate lighting is very important to jewelry sales. Make sure there is plenty of light to show the details, colors and gems of the jewelry on display, and allow the guests to clearly see themselves when they try on the jewelry samples. The next time you are shopping in a department store, boutique, gallery, or museum store, take note of the lighting, as it can provide a good model for your party.

MIRRORS

Mirrors are a welcome tool at a jewelry show. Chances are the sales associate knows this and will have a stand mirror on the display table; however it is smart to have another one nearby or make sure you welcome your guests to use your bathroom or hall mirror. Mirrors help sell jewelry, so be sure to let the shoppers see how pretty they are wearing a necklace or pair of earrings.

PLACING ORDERS

When it comes to placing orders, your guests and the sales associate will need privacy, so set up a space in a separate room or in a far corner where there is a table or counter top and a couple of places to sit. This will allow for a discrete transaction.

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS

The job as hostess goes a bit beyond opening your home and offering good cheer. Try to keep people focused on the jewelry, even though side conversations are taking place. Staying near the jewelry and keeping the conversation around that area will help people stay nearby. It is not necessary to actively sell the product, but do what you can to prevent setting the sales associate afloat on a social iceberg. Some not-too-loud upbeat music can help with the mood, just as with any party.

DOOR PRIZE SUGGESTION

Often during the stand-up presentation of the company and the jewelry, the sales associate will offer a door prize as an ice breaker. As a good hostess, having a small non-perishable item in hand in case of a mishap will be gratefully appreciated by the sales rep as well as the guest. I attended a party where the chocolate door prize had melted on an unseasonably warm day. The sales rep did recover quickly with a polishing cloth to give instead, however, the hostess might want to consider having a back up item on hand, such as a small packet of tea or coffee, or a small bottle of hand lotion.

All in all, a little planning and logistics considerations will earn sparkling rewards from robust jewelry sales.

TIPS FOR THE SALES ASSOCIATE

Trust – make sure the line you are carrying offers a no-hassle guarantee.

Show up on time. Do not overstay your visit.

Have more than one mirror.

Have a flexible display plan to fit into the many different scenarios you will be encountering. Keep it simple so you can set up and dismantle in a short period of time.

Tastefully wear some of the jewelry from your product line.

Dress neatly. Do not wear perfume; many people have allergies, and perfume can aggravate them.

Keep your presentation short and to the point.

Try to offer a few items on cash & carry basis for those who don’t want to wait for an order to arrive. This may mean having to stock a small amount of inventory, but if they are moderately priced, best-selling items, then you won’t be holding it for long.

Bring a folding table of your own to insure you will have adequate display space.

Bring a lamp so you can be sure to have enough lighting in just the right spot. Perhaps a lampshade can be used to hang jewelry as well as add light to the room.

Offering ideas for matching sets can multiply sales. Not everyone has a knack for mixing complementary jewelry. If you can make it easy, increased sales will most likely be yours.

Offer an incentive to book a show while at the party. Be sure to reward the hostess for bookings placed at the show.

Confirm the party a day ahead to insure the readiness of your venue.

Are you limited to home shows, or are corporate/workplace venues something you are willing to consider? Working people appreciate the opportunity to shop during their lunch hour. This is especially true for those who are unable to leave their building during breaks. The medical community and schools are two examples of this.

TIPS FOR THE JEWELRY MAKER

Construct your jewelry well enough so you can confidently offer a no-hassle guarantee.

If your jewelry is not one-of-a-kind, consider offering some limited edition pieces. Your customers want to buy something special, even it costs a dollar or two more.

Be sure to offer the token easily affordable jewelry item. Ideally you would design one piece in each category you make.

Buy your components from reliable vendors. You want to sell as many of your popular items as you can. A reliable source of supply can provide components when you need them.

Get to know your sales associates. You want to be sure of who is representing your company, and they will appreciate knowing their principal.

Keep your packaging simple and attractive. Stock boxes with a customized hot-stamped logo or name label is adequate.

If you have a catalog, show the images actual size and easy to see.

Make sure your pricing formula insures that hostesses are well-compensated for their time.

Consider offering fundraising program options. Non-profit organizations everywhere need time-saving opportunities to raise capital for their programs.

Be sure to thank your hostess after their home show. Through your sales associate you have been a guest in their home.

Road Map To Riches A Strait Out Lie?
Aug 30th, 2010 by admin

The claim: Working with the Roadmap to Riches system you get to keep 100% of all your profits you make. No other company on the Internet offers that (no quite true), You will earn $999 per sale, and with all the help in your new back office and working closely with your sponsor (if you get one with a conscience) you can easily find where to market and start making money right away (right away? Average 24-48hr to get approval from you payment processor.).

Roadmap to riches has top earners and newbies alike, jump ship and leave their ongoing affiliations to a “rosy red” world of automated sales.

They will all have you believe that you will simply wave that magical “guru wand” around like a bad Harry potter movie and the meter in your bank account will start spinning faster than the $$$ dial at the gas pump!

And I know I’m going to bust a lot of financial dream bubbles here but unless this is told, people are going to walk right into this type of business model and expect overnight spinarounds with their present money situation just to find that the cash isn’t sitting peacefully in that bank account the next morning.

A new study shows that the vast majority (72%) of folks joining with these opportunities, usually come in with just enough cash to get the administration fee squared away and scrape nickels and dimes to render their sponsor his dues (for the cost of the product). All this to leave nothing or very little for trials and errors. You see, the sad reality is simply this: You (the novice) come in with very limited knowledge of running a successful marketing campaign that wont bust you flat before you’re ready to see a return.

Consequently you are left with a near “0″ margin for any kind of mistake. A little bit like playing Russian roulette with five rounds in a six-shooter chamber!

In other words if for any reason whatsoever you apply the wrong (or even the right method) of advertising in a moving trends environment you could easily lose several hundred dollars in a very short time period (try 24 hrs). But here’s the lifejacket (or so it appears), your sponsor, the person you signed up under, has a vested interest in seeing you succeed A.S.A.P (remember the 2up system?) because you have become part of his or her cash-cow! And so now you say to yourself, Great! I can’t lose!

But the thing is 67% of sponsors out there are themselves new at this game and would much rather have you beg, steal, or borrow money to put down on “pay per click” ads and google sponsored links campaigns so they don’t have to get into lengthy discussions about true marketing thus exposing their lack of knowledge in the field (scary).

Now that you understand the risk of running out of money before you see a dime in dividends, let me switch gears and have a heart to heart with you about my experience with the two up system and similar business models.

As of today the aussie two up (the scientific name) is likely the best leverage system ever designed. Simply put, it allows you the user, to leverage (use other members resources) your income in ways that no other system does.

I have used the two up and more recently a modified version of it, from its inception to its application to wealth building systems on the Internet.

It (2up) has allowed me to go from immerging out of a bad business merger to securing a five figure monthly income in a fairly short span.

The difference here was my perfect understanding of the advertising world and my vast knowledge of the existence of “free effective” online advertising. Did you jot down this last line? I said “free” and that his the only variant through which you will achieve any kind of real success in the 2up model, period. Unless you are in a position to set aside four or five thousands for market research and failures (fear not I took care of that), Free advertising is the only avenue when taking your first steps in an exciting but sometimes costly business venture.

So to sum this up, you got a one in three chances of getting a sponsor that is just about as green as you are in this fast but rewarding world or grab the opportunity to inform yourself by staying in a safe environment and letting me help you achieve your financial goals. The mindset, should you accept the challenge is: Be ready to work hard, yes you heard me, set aside 25hrs out of a seven days week and no less, and be willing to be treated like a kindergartener (no disrespect intended), and lastly go ahead and have fun with this as you make progress and I can make it happen for you and your family.

The Best Home Based Business For Single Moms

Let’s say I’m a single mom who has had it with the day job. My debt is beyond belief. I have no time to spend with my kids or family. I’ve read the Rich Dad Poor Dad books and decided that I no longer want to trade time for money but I have no idea on how to get started in my own home based business or how to become an entrepreneur. What do I do?

Well there are successful home based business plans available to single moms who want to build wealth that are already set up, running and making huge profits. And the beauty is they are looking for other single moms to partner with and are willing to help them develop their business. These businesses help other achieve their goals, so if you’d be the type of person that would be willing to help others achieve their goals too, this could be right for you.

How easy would it be to start one of these? Most of these companies have a very low entry cost, from $30 – $200 and a low monthly participation cost, about $150 – $300 per month that could be earned back within a few weeks or months. Income potential is unlimited. You do have to work at it to get there and they are not get rich quick schemes. But the amount of work that you put in over time compared to the amount of reward possible is so different that this type of business would be considered truly leveraged. Plus, you develop a work plan suited to your own schedule.

You get to see your kids during the day if you want. These types of business take advantage of current trends like distribution, baby boomers, the health care and wellness industry, plus the shift from the industrial age to the information age driven by the internet. This is the perfect storm of entrepreneurship and suited to single moms. Millions of dollars are waiting to be made, now and in the next several years.

Read “The Next Millionaires” by Paul Zane Pilzer or “Rich Dad’s Business School for People Who Like Helping People”. These books are great resources for the kind of business I’m about to tell you about. What is it? It is direct sales or network marketing. “Oh my gosh,” you say. “I can’t sell anything.” Neither can I but I can learn what it takes to become a millionaire real fast. One of the first things that come to mind when the words network marketing are mentioned is the old model of making a list with all your friends, family, acquaintances, people you see walking down the street, people you don’t even like and everyone that has an occupation that you can think of — then calling them. Yes. This could be though of as scary by most. And besides scary, it’s not that productive. Where is it written that perfect strangers even care who you are let alone are interested in some whacky business or product you are trying to promote?

This is not to say that you can avoid talking to people in network marketing, on the contrary. You want to talk to people and show them how easy it is, but you don’t want to talk it into people. You want people to come to you and ask to be shown. And how is it that the internet which is connected to literally billions of people isn’t the most awesome tool for finding new people? Tell that to the list makers.

How do you get people to come to you? It’s called attraction marketing and basically you become a desired force or expert in a specific niche and people want to learn from you. At that time they are open minded enough to listen and consider your proposal, network marketing, as a viable business opportunity for them. It takes time, but consider the alternative of working until you are 65 and retiring on half your salary and having your kids live at home with you while they go to community college.

There are over 1,600 network marketing companies around. Some are much better than others. Be careful because some of the companies will hold you hostage for six months with a non-compete clause which means you can’t legally join any other program or they can sue you. Do your research. Talk to people who are active in plans. Pick the best payout and then have the person who signs you up help you to achieve success. They will be happy to help because your success improves their success. You can find the best home based business for single moms with some research and by talking to people. Lots of people are willing to help you.
