damn i used to think he was awright then i found out he’s all living up in the suburbs of connecticut in a mansion and his kids probably go to private school. does anyone else agree that pretty much kills any street cred he had? how can you be a baller when you live like whitey mcwhite white? i wonder if he shows up for pta meetings in his hummer, bass pumpin and rims spinnin.
i have no problem with him having money. that’s great. i have a problem with him changing so much from who he represents himself to be. if i had his fortune, i would buy the biggest house i could find in brooklyn and send my kids to private school in the city, not move out to the suburbs. it’s like moving to another planet. you people have it all wrong, i am glad he’s successful and has money and he should get his kids the best education possible, but stay true to who you are is what i’m saying. if you live in the suburbs and lose all your money, you will move to a more affordale suburb, not pick up and move to the inner city. why does no one ever understand my questions? I just think if you come from the city, and you represent yourself as gangsta and city, why you wanna move to the white bread suburbs once you get some money?that’s all I’m saying. damn.
okay guys…I’m not saying he should stay in the projects, that would be stupid. i’m saying he should stay in the CITY and not move to the SUBURBS just cause he made it and has a lotta money. that’s all. why doesn’t anyone see that? how is someone like him gonna fit in going to like frieking shoprite or whaveter food store they have in greenwich? and yes, I know he probably has someone who does the s hopping for him, that’s not the point. the point is the suburbs are practically another planet compared to the city so why would he want to go there?

I think you don’t understand the industry. You can be street but once you start making money, you can’t still live in the streets because there are people that hate. You stand chances of getting rob, killed, anything all because of location. Also you can take the person from the streets but you can’t take the streets out of him. Why be making millions of dollars but still saying in the projects, you do those things like play ball, get an education, sing, etc. to get out of the ghetto and the streets not stay just so you keep street cred. 50 Cent is doing his thang and he will always be street and have street cred no matter where he stay or how rich he gets.

I somewhat understand what you’re trying to say but………
1) The definition of baller means: To be able to afford anything you want, nice car, nice house, nice neighborhood, clothes, expensive restaurants, ect. So him living in a mansion in a nice neighborhood, sending his son to private school is BALLING, listen to Jim Jones record again.
2) Moving to somewhere safe for your kids to be and for yourself is not being untrue to where you came from, it’s just wanting to be somewhere different. It wouldn’t be smart to live in “the hood” with all that money, you have to use wisdom and good sense. You know how much stuff goes down in the hood, that man would be robbed blind, house broken into, probably shot 9 more times…… not to mention putting his kid in the middle of all of that, that’s not a wise decision, so no, it doesn’t ruin his street cred.
