How to convince my mom I need to move out of a training bra?
August 14th, 2011 by admin

I’m thirteen 1/2. I measured myself and I think I would be a 32A but I’m still wearing training bras. How can I convince my mom I need a bigger bra? My sister is eleven and wearing the same size training bra that I am. Help!

Talk to her about it and let her know that you are too big for a training bra.

and that she needs to take you somewhere so you can get measured

Just tell her “mom I out grew my bra and think I need a new one ..please pretty please?”

    or

just buy one your self and tell you need money and go buy one.
    :) good luck.

Your sister doesn’t fit into the equation of why you need a new bra. You just don’t want to be in the same size training bra? —To bad, if you are simply spilling out of it just show your mom and she will be able to see.

Just tell her you need to go bra shopping because you think it’s time to get a real bra. If that’s too awkward just pick some out while you’re at the store with her and ask her if she can buy them for you.

just tell her that you need a bra..
tell her that you have grown out of
    wearing a trainging bra.
and jsut tell her she can even help you
pick out some bras if it makes herfeel any better.

One day when you’re alone with your mom just hanging out around the house, complain out loud, “Arg, this bra is getting so tight…”. Then take the conversation from there. She will probably say something like “is it time to move up to a different bra?”.

I would tell your mom you would like to go buy a couple new bras, and go to a walmart or something that has both training and regular. while browsing, start talking to your mom about how your bras seem tight and not to fir right anymore, and that you feel you should get measured so you can get the best fitting one. then try to catch the attention of a saleslady somehow, and she can help you and your mom find one that fits you. she will measure you and determine your size and what kind of bra you should be in.

I hear ya! I turn 13 tomorrow and my lil sis has been wearing a bra since she was 8!!! She is now ten and she got a bra the exact same day I did!! It is sooo frustrating!

Anyway, have you even tryed asking her? Most moms will just understand. If you have, and she does the ” They arent big enough honey” trick, like mom did when I asked for a razor,(she called me fuzzy, the teddy bear!! )! So I wrote her two notes. One said”Look for my note in your purse.” And the one I put in her purse explained why I thought I needed one.

Tell your mom, either in person, or in writing, that you have measured yourself, and feel that you would benefit from a bra. Give her alot of reasons, and ask nicely. She should understand. Especially if you ask in writing. Good luck! Use this as proof if you need back up !

Just tell her your bra is too tight and you need a bigger size.

If she helped you get your training bra, she will help with the next ones. Tell her you have outgrown what you have and that you need new bras and might need to be measured.

Just say “hey mom, do you think we could go bra shopping soon? Some of my bras are getting to be too small and i think its time for something bigger”. I am sure she will have no problem with it. Or you could just grab some bras next time you are clothes shopping and tell her that you need some new ones”. Hope this helps!
