say i met you off the chat line and you lived three doors down from me, and you sad to me i heard you was burning, and i got mad and got on the chat line and the internet and started putting your Information out , like put your dads name your moms name your address, and your phone number out and i put up a blog telling people if they wanna beat you up let me know so i can give them your info to get you? is this a crime cuz on the chat line they tell you don,t put your info out?

Yes it is a crime. Now only would I report you to the police for threats to my family, I’d kick your cowardly asss the first chance I got. You would never be able to walk around in public again without looking over your shoulder.

The crime would be incitement to violence and in states where such laws are in place, cyber-bullying.

Depending on the nature of the threats, they could be illegal.
Posting information about someone, provided it was obtained legally, is not a crime. Addresses etc are not private information.
The fact that the chat line says not to, and may even suspend you for doing so, is simply site policy, not a law.
