go to a lending company to see if u can get a loan and they will see if you qualify for a grant. my moms in the same situation=)

try an fha loan, if they are still financing trailers..may have to go the bank route..good luck

see if the state has grants available or even the county has any you might be surprised that most do. Start there first

Most power companies have rebates and energy credits on your taxes if you buy Energy Star Appliances (Refrig) above a certain energy rating.

Also, check with local housing authorities, charities and places like habitat for humanity for help. If there are grants out there, one of them will know about them.

Be sure to check the local and state ordinances before taking possession of the mobile home. In my state, if the mobile home is over a certain age, all of the plumbing, wiring, insulation and other codes must be improved to current standards before it is allowed to be hooked back up on a property. The upgrades will cost more than purchasing a mobile home that meets standards.

Moving it is considered a new siting and it must meet current codes for approval to hook up is issued.
