If you already have a BS in phys ed, you should probably do the PT degree not the PTA degree.

You do not have to start over per se. YOu just need the pre req which you may have already

I agree with Mary, if you already have a BS degree, no reason to step down complete an AA…unless you cannot afford to go back to school to complete the PT prerequisites and the PT graduate degree.

Personal traning will not really be of much benefit in the PT world unless you are already a PT and working in a sports med setting. Personal training is primarily based on well-adult fitness and not the disease model process which is 99% of your patient load.

Your only option around taking a PTA course is if you live in California you can petition to take the PTA exam if you’ve been a PT tech for some length of time (can’t remember if is 18 or 36 months) and you have a handful of college credits. But I suppose if you are going to spend that much time being a tech, might as well go to school for the PTA program.

I cannot really think of anything else in rehab for which your degree qualifies you…sorry.
