Breast Feeding Makes Body Ugly, is This True?

Posted by admin in July 28th 2010

Look at almost any television show or magazine; unfortunately, the breasts are everywhere, selling everything from cars to cleansers. A huge industry in this country banks on woman’s breasts being seen in a sexual light, rather than as a part of woman’s reproductive and child nurturing equipment. Since media plays major role in showing that breasts only have a sexual side and hence lowers the importance of it being nurturing equipment.

The question that bothers many women today is whether “Breast feeding makes breasts unattractive”? Many women worry, for example, that breast feeding will cause their breasts to become droopy or ugly. But changes in breast shape are more related to pregnancy itself than to breast feeding. Breasts grow during pregnancy, as milk producing tissues develop. This stretches the fiber support tissue of the breast. Whether or not, these tissues spring back once the breasts shrink again is mostly a matter of luck – some woman’s breasts are springier than others. Women with highly elastic breasts can breastfeed and a few months later, look the same as they did before getting pregnant. Other mothers who do not breast feed can have long lasting changes in breast shape from their pregnancies.

Does breastfeeding make women unattractive to their husbands or partners? This varies from person to person. Some men are put off by nursing breasts, but many find them interesting and attractive. The fact that their spouse is feeding their baby from her own body fills some men with awe, other with lust. Some nursing mothers feel that their breasts are less sensitive to erotic stimulation. Others find that having longer breasts makes them feel more sensual.

Is breastfeeding sexually arousing? Nursing mothers often report that breastfeeding feels good, but the feeling is not really sexual. It’s clear to them that their breasts have developed a specialized function as a source of nutrition for their babies.

Will breastfeeding make your partner feel excluded or jealous? This does happen sometimes, but it doesn’t have to. Fathers can help make their partners comfortable for nursing, and they can take over many other parenting tasks, such as changing, holding, singing to and playing with the baby. Many nursing mothers pump their breast milk regularly, especially if they are working outside of the home, and faters can certainly feed this to their babies using a bottle, spoon or cup.

Question for Physical Therapy Assistants or Physical Therapists?

Posted by admin in July 27th 2010

Do you like your job?
What are pros& cons?
What’s an average day like for you?
How would u describe the education process?
I’m thinking about this career path…especially PTA. I’m a certified nursing assistant, was planning to become a nurse. But there are several things I don’t like about nursing: (feel like a pill-pusher, ultra-competitiveness, hardly any actual time or contact with patients, too much time doing administrative duties, management, and delegation, and not enough one-on-one work that makes a difference, extremely stressful, etc.)

I know there will be stressful parts of being a PTA as well, and some things i don’t like. But my grandma is in a LTC getting rehabilitation after breaking several bones, and my family feels that the PT’S and PTA’S are the ones who are really helping her. Any thoughts?
Kiana,
I asked a question about PTA’s and PT’s, not for a BS formulated answer with a link to some “work at home” pyramid scheme. I’m not stupid. I’m looking for a REAL career, not a scam. And I was asking for an answer to a question, not spam.

Thanks for nothing.

Press Releases – Grab ‘Em Fast and Don’t Let Go

Posted by admin in July 22nd 2010

TIPS FROM THE TOP

For radio and TV: Approach producers as if they have ADD (attention deficit disorder). Get their attention fast. If your press release doesn’t capture the producers’ attention within the first ten seconds, you’re dead; they’ll be off on something else. They seldom read press releases, but when they do, they usually just scan the headlines and bullets. Producers’ lives are blurs. Everything is an emergency or a crisis…so make press releases for producers shorter than those you send to print journalists. Tips:

o Headlines are critical. They should be one line only, take seconds to read and focus on value and benefit.

o The media is obsessed with three topics that it thinks audiences crave: money, sex and health. So, whenever possible, tie your headlines to those topics.

o Establish a “Who Gives a Damn” meter. Determine if anyone would care about the information presented. If so, identify specifically who would care. Then determine why they would care. Once done, write headlines and bullets targeted to those who would care.

For print: For the print media the first paragraph of your press release is vital. It should run no more than three or four sentences and set forth all of the main points covered in the release. Don’t muddy your opening paragraph with too much detail…Use subsequent paragraphs to further explain your story, including background, more specific information, and even include quotes or endorsements. But keep the entire release to one page. After you’ve drafted the release, tie it together with a catchy headline…always include your contact information at both the top and bottom of the page. [And remember] that print media can publish a press release, or parts of it, with little or no change, and their job is done.

IDEAS for fall festival for my kids school?

Posted by admin in July 15th 2010
I am VERY new in the PTA at my child’s school, one of the open committees was the Fall Festival, so I signed myself and my friend up. We have come up with some pretty good ideas on our own, but any ideas from seasoned PTA or other club veterans would be lovely! I really want to stay involved in my sons school and PTA. I am nervous because I am new and, well, lets just say the other moms are on a slightly (HUGE) different social status than I am. So I want to wow them, but I also want to show that you don’t have to have it all already to make a fun time for the kids…. These are my own crazy fears by the way. NO one has been outright rude to me. But take a moment and imagine how you feel when you pull up to a meeting (at a house you wouldn’t even want to enter for fear of getting lost LOL) in a dinged up mini van (my friends – which by the way is in better shape than my 20 year old sedan) and there are nothing but brand new top of the line van’s with tv screens and sun roofs and middle windows that roll down – and are not even 6 months old, as well as convertables, and SUV that I couldn’t afford the gas for… ok, i am rambling now, but you get the point… so i am intimidated, trying not to show it, but really want to prove to them and me, i am just as good. SO cheap easy FUN FUN FUN Fall Festival Ideas… money makers or free bees for the kids, cause we are doing a mix of both ;)

Pregnancy question, moms or dads, what are your opinions of sex during pregnancy?

Posted by admin in July 12th 2010
Did your libido change? Your partner’s? Were you afraid? Were not on the same page as your partner i.e. you did, but your partner didn’t or vice versa?

I’m an expectant father and writing a blog and book for expectant dads on how to better understand and help their partners during pregnancy.

I’d love your feedback to help me out and to help other dads-to-be.

Potty Training Dogs

Posted by admin in July 12th 2010

One of the issues that all new dog owners face is how to effectively train their dogs when it comes to performing bodily functions in an appropriate location. There are actually several potty training dog tips that may help the new owner to achieve the desired results.
Here are a few that you can try at home.

First, a dog that stays indoors most of the time needs a spot that he or she knows is safe to use. Pet pads can be placed on the floor of the utility room or any spot that is accessible to the dog, but not in the main flow of traffic through the house. Many of these pads are scented to attract animals, which will help in the conditioning process. Make sure your pet is praised when he or she uses the pad.

Your pet may choose to go while you are not at home, and do his or her business somewhere that is very obvious, like on the carpet in front of the television. If your dog does this when you are gone from the home for a long period of time, realize he or she is reacting to being left without you nearby. Try leaving on the radio or calling home a couple times a day so your dog can hear your voice via the speaker on your answering machine. If it works, this potty training dog tip will not only make your homecoming a little nicer, but also save a lot of money on carpet cleanings and replacements.

One final potty training dog tip is to react positively when your dog goes in an appropriate spot, such as your back yard or on the pads. Dogs receive a great deal of satisfaction from a soothing tone of voice and being petted. Once your dog learns to associate going to potty in the right spots with getting affection from you, the process will become a breeze.

Siberian Husky Potty Training – Get it Right

Posted by admin in July 9th 2010

Siberian Husky potty training is a task that can be handled with ease even if you have never done it before. Just as with any other breed, there needs to be a lot of attention and forethought given before diving into any type of training just as any of the dog training books would tell you. You must consider your living and work arrangements. If you are home a lot and have a nice safe yard, going potty outside is probably best for the animal and for your home.

But, if you are not able to get around a lot, live in an apartment with no real yard to call your own, or even if you work a lot, you may want to consider allowing your new little friend to go potty somewhere safe in the home. This is to make sure that your dog is given the opportunity to relieve him or herself if the need arises. You don’t want accidents on your new carpet and your dog does want to please you so with a little special attention paid to Siberian Husky potty training you will be on the right track.

When you have thought about all of the things that happen within your daily life, you may have decided that your dog going potty inside makes a lot more sense for your situation. Once you have made that choice, I suggest going out and purchasing some of the scented puppy pee pads. These pads are excellent to use in Siberian Husky potty training as they are scented in order to attract the dog.

A good place to start is wherever you notice that your puppy is more prone to having their mistakes. Even if this is not the location you want the pee pad, by placing it there, you are sure to grab their attention. Once your little friend begins to use the pad, slowly move the pad in the direction of where you want it to be. Everyday move it a little closer to your chosen area and eventually your Husky will be going exactly where you want him or her to go.

After a lot of though and consideration, you may have come to the decision that your Siberian Husky potty training needs to be done outside. Ways that many trainers and other professionals will suggest is to crate train your dog. Whenever you have to leave for any period of time whether it is for a few minutes or a few hours, place your pup in the crate.

As soon as you arrive home and go to bring the puppy out of the crate, take him or her right outside so they can go potty. It is important to keep them outside with you until they do go potty and once they do you want to make sure that they know you are very pleased. The best way to go about getting your point across is by giving them a lot of praise as all your dog wants is to make you happen. Soon, after enough time and consistency on your part, your dog will be able to understand that the yard and only the yard is the place to use the potty.

Blogging Basics

Posted by admin in July 7th 2010

If writing is an art, blogging is could be defined as art too. The people who are really into blogging are the ones who are artistic in their own way. They carefully choose words that would best describe their feelings, sentiments, wishes, desires, and everything else. These types of blogs sometimes go rather well with the people reading them. They feel as if the know the author of the blog.

Basically, blogs were first introduced online as weblogs. This was in the mid 1990’s. They were referred to as “server’s log file.” It was created when web logging hit the virtual market. Web logging as it was called, gradually saturated the virtual community making the Internet a great source of information. However, with web logging, you still need a web site and your own domain. With blogging, you do not need your own website or domain. You just need to sign-up with a blog provider, which there are many that are free of charge. Don’t get me wrong, you can still have it all too. You can have the domain and blog in one package.

There are different types of blogs. You can have a personal blog or a business blog. I actually have a few of both. Business blogs are usually created to advertise the services or products of a certain web site or online business in order to increase their online sales. It is also a great way to add content to your website. Personal blogs are created for a variety of reasons. Like a journal, people can write their daily adventures, dreams, goals and whatever else they want to share with the world.

If you are thinking of starting a blog, whether it is personal or business, you might want to read the three tips below to start off on the write foot :

1. Consider your audience – Who will you be writing for. Who will be reading your blog.
Even if you have a personal blog, thing about what is going to interest your readers.

2. A picture speaks a thousand words – Include images in your blog posts. People love reading blogs that include photos.

3. Make Your Blog Interactive – Be sure to allow for comments on your blog. When you get comments, be sure to respond to your readers.

Remember, a blog is what you want it to be about. There are no guidelines or rules. You set the rules. Just be sure to post to your blog frequently. Many times when you don’t update your blog on a regular basis, you will slowly loose your readers. Enjoy your blogging hobby, it might be rewarding in the long run.
